OUR HISTORY

1970-80

7/1971
一群護士在退休宣教士何衛理夫婦家中舉行首次團契聚會，定立本會的雛形
A group of nurses started meeting at retired OMF missionaries, Mr and Mrs Wallace Hockey’s home

​

9/9/1972 
在 Jeune Street 循道會舉行學生及護士定期聚會
Regular meetings organized at Jeune Street Methodist Church Hall for students and nurses

​

1980-90

 

1981-1990
誠蒙禮賢會九龍堂於這十年期間在經濟上支持團契發展
The Chinese Rhenish Church in Hong Kong (Kowloon) supported the development of the fellowship

​

28/2/1982
第一次粵語主日崇拜於 James Street 教堂舉行
First Cantonese Worship held at James Street Church

​

2/10/1983
粵語崇拜與中文班遷往 Headington 浸信會
Cantonese Worship and Chinese class moved to Headington Baptist Church

​

2/4/1985
正式註冊為慈善團體
Registered as a charity with Charity Commission

​

23/11/1986
牛津華人基督徒團契正式改為「牛津華人基督教會」
Oxford Chinese Christian Fellowship officially changed to ‘Oxford Chinese Christian Church’

​

30/10/1987
購入位於 15 Gorse Leas 三房一廳半獨立式「教會中心」作傳道人宿舍及行政辦事處
Purchased a 3 bed-room, semi-detached house at 15 Gorse Leas for staff accommodation and administrative centre

2000-2010

2001-2007
OMF 宣教士普建明先生 (Mr Paul Pruitt) 協助國語部事工
OMF Missionary Mr Paul Pruitt assisted in starting the Mandarin ministry

7/2003
主日崇拜遷往樂靈活循道會舉行，並分為國語堂及粵語堂；兒童主日學及青少年團契亦同時進行
Sunday worship relocated to Lime Walk Methodist Church with Cantonese and Mandarin services as well as Sunday School and Teens’ Fellowship held at the same time

少年團契開始在 All Saints’ Church House 禮堂聚會
Teens’ Fellowship started meeting at All Saint’s Church House on New High Street

1/2008
學生團契於 2008 年初改在 St Michael at the North Gate Church, Cornmarket Street 舉行聚會
Student Fellowship moved to St Michael at the North Gate Church, Cornmarket Street

於牛津市聾人中心開展早堂崇拜
Launch of morning worship at Oxford Deaf & Hard of Hearing Centre

彭滿圓牧師作本會義務牧師

設英語崇拜於下午二時在 Lime Walk Methodist Church 副堂舉行
Start of English Service at 2pm at Lime Walk Methodist Church Adjacent Hall

香港中⽂大學崇基神學院⾧盧龍光牧師教授出任本會顧問
Reverend Professor Lung-Kwong Lo, Director of Cultural & Religious Studies of Chinese University of Hong Kong appointed as Church Advisor

特別會友大會: 全體表決通過出售 15 Gorse Leas 以購買新教會中心
Extraordinary General Meeting: all voted to sell 15 Gorse Leas for a new Church House

01/12/2014
完成買賣合同並正式將教會中心暨牧者宿舍搬遷至現址 117 Lime Walk
Exchanged contract and Church House relocated to 117 Lime Walk

6/9/2015
國語祟拜移師午堂於 Lime Walk Methodist Church 進行
Mandarin Service relocated to Lime Walk Methodist Church

曹子光牧師作本會兼任牧師
Pastor Benny Cho served as our interim Church Pastor

因應新冠疫情，教會各聚會及主日崇拜改於網上舉行
All church meetings including Sunday Service to be held online due to Covid pandemic

開設「香港移民支緩小組」幫助新來英的移民儘快融入社區及教會生活
Established "Hong Kong Immigrant Support Group" to support new immigrants to settle in the UK

莊仰明牧師作本會牧師
Pastor Paul Zhuang served as our Church Pastor

重啟實體主日崇拜，粵語及國語分堂崇拜

Reopening of physical Church Sunday Service, with dedicated Cantonese and Mandarin Service

扎根牛津50載感恩禮拜及慶典聚餐 ，超過150人出席

Celebrating 50th year anniversary of our Church in Oxford, with over 150 attending the After Service Celebration

林小敏傳道履薪為本會傳道
Pastor Toby Lam appointed as our Church Pastoral Worker

粤語堂主日崇拜移師 All Saints 大教堂舉行以容納日漸增多的會衆

Cantonese Sunday Service relocated to All Saints Church in order to accommodate increasing number of congregation
